Destitute Rehabilitation Center

This centre is situated on 5 acres of land at Katraj and was inaugurated on August 2002. Consul General of Japan on behalf of government of Japan donated Rs. 43.5 lac for this project. Here the emphasis on rehabilitation of the destitute. Every month there are about 60 adult destitute picked from various places. They are given various types of vocational training and are encouraged to take up jobs or are provided help to start their own businesses.

More than 500 destitutes are rehabilitated and the old destitute are retained. There are about 50-60 children in this centre which are enrolled in various schools and are given assistance in their studies at the centre and are taught training in personal hygiene, cleanliness etc.
